Research Archive · Transparent & Reproducible
A static archive for reproducibility
This archive hosts instruments, protocols, and reproducible artifacts from Project Nagrik and SARAL. Public materials are anonymized. SARAL is presented here as an experiment and diagnostic probe — not an active public service.
Status: system logic and codebase frozen as of Jan 2026 deployment.
Datasets & Instruments
• Questionnaires (English / Hindi / Marathi)
• Interview guides (citizens & officers)
• Respondents.xlsx (working file; anonymized export to follow)
• Synthetic SARAL demo sample (sanitized) for reproducibility
Access via the Drive folder above.
Methods
Deployment protocol (pilot), sampling rationale, consent/ethics summary, and telemetry schema (wait latency, triage latency, final action + override reason codes).
SARAL — Origin (v1)
Early ideation and initial design direction before the Jan 2026 field pilot. This page exists to document evolution, not to present a live service or claims.
Documentation
Version notes, freeze note, and change log for the v1.3 deployment. The archive is static; future work is tracked separately.
Access & Attribution
Materials are released for academic / non-commercial use. Cite as: “Mody, P. (2026). Project Nagrik — SARAL Research Archive (v1).”
Note: Until anonymization is complete, only instruments and a working respondents sheet are accessible. Personally identifying information is never published.
Appendix · Data & Instrumentation
Project Nagrik — Data Dictionary (v1)
A compact, public-facing dictionary of the variables used in analysis. This is for reproducibility, not for browsing raw respondent data.

SARAL v1.3 — Operational Telemetry (Non-persistent)
Limited attributes were captured temporarily to support triage and operator review. SARAL v1.3 does not create a persistent archive of citizen records.
| Field | Description | Storage |
|---|---|---|
| mobile | Used only to generate a hashed citizen identifier. | Not stored |
| age | Approximate age reported during intake. | Session only |
| gender | Self-reported gender. | Session only |
| income_period | Income frequency (daily / weekly / monthly). | Session only |
| income | Approximate income value. | Session only |
| education_level | Highest education completed. | Session only |
| location | Area/village identifier used for scheme matching. | Session only |
| caste | Self-reported caste category. | Session only |
| verify | Indicates whether identity documentation is available (yes/no). | Session only |
| verify_notes | Operator note regarding verification status. | Session only |
| notes | Operator field notes relevant to triage. | Session only |
SARAL suggestions are non-binding. Operators can edit or override any hint; overrides are used only for offline reflection on failure modes. No permanent database of citizen records is created by SARAL v1.3.
